Row over public use of cantonment assets by civilians
Recently utilization of cantonment well developed infrastructure facilities is hot news for use by the civilians. It is a common problem which many cantonment areas are facing so much so the Raksha Mantri (RM) conducted a meeting with all the cantonment boards chairmen & other senior officials. This phenomena becomes extremely serious in the vote bank culture more so before general elections, giving immense leverage to the political leaders to improve their political standings. Quintessentially this is a unspoken failure of planning of urbanization and satellite townships with all necessary infrastructure. by the local political leadership for their lack of vision and implementation .
